Auto-tune - robotic sounding effect used on a lot of pop artists where the note is pushed to perfection without any legato between notes. — Does not mean they can’t sing. It’s just a fad.

Pitch correction - used on like every single singer on any CD, ever (well, since the digital age). Yes, Adele, (new) Metallica, I don’t care who it is, but they used it. — Does not mean they can’t sing. Pitch correction adds a certain ambiance to a voice that our society had grown fond of.

(Keep in mind, I’m talking about pro stuff here… signed artists.)

But it’s not a BAD thing that pitch correction is so widely used. Adele and all those great singers have it on such a low setting that it hardly does anything. Like I said, it’s just because our society has grown to the sound of it.

I know a lot of you are out of city, state, and country. But it would mean the world to me if you were to sign this petition to reopen one of our greatest local-supporting venues.

The venue was closed due to a gang related shooting at a rap show. Please don’t let gang violence damage our local scene.
